Just like the time I created my husband’s personal branding for his IT services, this time I could envisage exactly what I wanted to create for his organist branding: earthy wooden textures overlaid with gold and subtle hints of slate to keep it clean and modern.
The only absolute instruction within the brief was to include organ pipes to highlight the musical niche he specialises in. Elsie Regular was an instant choice for the main font as there was something familiar in the ‘J’ that resembled a musical symbol or note.
Clean, very thin lines of gold to represent a stave were used to anchor his name and Proxima Nova was paired in as the complementary font.
We are currently working on his new website together – jamesfloresorganist.com – which I’m looking forward to sharing with you as soon as it’s live.
I’ve really enjoyed working on this branding project on my New Year’s break. I said I would be working on my own rebranding, but this one took precedence instead! And the fun thing is, for this one I get paid in hugs and kisses (all together now – “awwwww”!)
